Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account in Drop, a messaging app developed by Buinsoft Technology s.r.o.

In the app

1. Open Drop and tap Profile at the bottom right.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down to Session and tap Delete my account.
4. Tap Continue, then confirm with Delete my account.

Your account is deleted immediately. The app then starts over as if it had just been installed; if you do not want to use Drop any more, remove the app from your phone.

If you set a password, you can do the same in the web version: sign in at chat.prahapp.cz and follow the same steps.

By email, if you no longer have the app

Send an email with the subject "Account deletion" to [email protected] and include your username. To confirm that the account is yours, we may ask for details such as your display name or the names of people you chat with. We delete the account within 30 days at the latest and confirm it by email.

What is deleted

• your profile: username, display name, profile photo, settings and password;
• all messages you sent in one-to-one chats and groups, with their photos, videos, voice messages, video messages and files, including messages you had deleted earlier;
• your stories and the record of who viewed and liked them;
• translations and transcripts of your messages;
• your reactions, saved messages, nicknames you gave others and nicknames others gave you, chat locks and blocks;
• debt records and shared tasks between you and other people (they are deleted for the other person too);
• device data, notification tokens and usage statistics.

Files are removed from our storage within a few minutes.

What is kept, and for how long

• Messages other people sent you stay in their chats, because they belong to them.
• Call records stay in the other person's call history, without a link to your account.
• Reports and moderation records, including a text copy of the reported content and the usernames involved, are kept for up to 12 months after the review is finished.
• Data we must keep by law, for example because an authority has asked us to preserve it, is kept for as long as that obligation lasts.
